MCUD da a conocer al Presidente del Partido Republicano la
“Asamblea para promover la Sociedad Civil en Cuba”
Largo, Maryland. 9 de febrero 2005. En el día de ayer cumpliendo con
su agenda internacional de trabajo así como con su compromiso de darle
apoyo a la “Asamblea para promover la Sociedad Civil en Cuba”, el
Movimiento Cubano Unidad Democrática representado por su presidente el
Ing. César L. Alarcón, sostuvo un amistoso encuentro con el Presidente
del Partido Republicano en los Estados Unidos, Sr. Ken Mehlman.
Durante el encuentro el ing. Alarcón le entrego al Presidente del
Partido Republicano una carpeta conteniendo información relacionada con
el próximo congreso opositor a celebrarse en Cuba el 20 de mayo del
2005. Le solicitó al Sr. Mehlman su apoyo y que dentro de su partido lo
diese a conocer, pues en realidad un evento de esa magnitud y enfocado a
abrir espacios de libertad en nuestra patria se merece el apoyo
incondicional de todos los amigos de la democracia.
Ken Mehlman quien durante la pasada campaña Bush-Cheney del 2004 se
ganara el título de: “El ingeniero estructural que transforma los planes
en realidad”, es un amante de la libertad y la democracia y manifestó
que la actual administración tiene un compromiso con la libertad y los
derechos de cada hombre en el planeta, que los espacios para las
dictaduras cada día serán menos.
El Presidente del Partido Republicano conoce la situación por la cual
atraviesa desde hace ya más de cuarenta y seis años el pueblo cubano,
por lo cuál no dudo ni un segundo en brindarle su apoyo a tan importante
evento.
El Presidente del Partido Republicano Ken Mehlman se mostró interesado
en continuar recibiendo información referente al evento y en contribuir
con su apoyo a tan noble causa encaminada a lograr el objetivo de
devolverle al pueblo de Cuba sus derechos más elementales.

MCUD promote Assembly of the Civil Society in Cuba.
Largo, Maryland. February 9, 2005. Yesterday, fulfilling its
international agenda of work as well as its commitment to support the
“Assembly to promote the Civil Society in Cuba”, the Cuban Movement for
a Unified Democracy represented by its president
Eng. César L. Alarcón, met with the Chairman of the National Republican
Party of the United States, Mr. Ken Mehlman.
During the encounter Eng. Alarcón presented the President of the
Republican Party with a folder containing information relating to the
upcoming competing congress to be celebrated in Cuba May 20 2005. Eng.
Alarcón asked Mr. Mehlman for his support and to present it to his
party, because in fact an event of that magnitude and focused to open
areas of freedom in our mother country deserves the unconditional
support of all friends of democracy.
Ken Mehlman who during the last Bush-Cheney campaign of 2004 earned the
title of: “the structural engineer who turned the plans into reality”,
he’s a lover of freedom and democracy and showed that the present
administration has a commitment to the freedom and rights for every man
on the planet, and to the reduction of opportunities for dictatorships.
The Chairman of the National Republican Party knows the situation that
the Cuban people have been enduring for over forty and six years, thus I
do not doubt for a second that he will lend his support for such an
important event.
The Chairman of the National Republican Party Ken Mehlman was interested
in continuing receiving information referring to the event and in
contributing with his support to such a noble cause to help it reach its
objective and give back to the people of Cuba their most elementary
rights. |
