To the Organisers and Participants of the Assembly to Promote Civil
Society
Dear Organisers, dear Participants,
We would like to show our solidarity with your cause to promote a
democratic culture and a civil society in Cuba. We wish you success and
strength in the implementation of a truly just society that respects
human rights and in which every individual may live in peace and in
freedom.
We understand the risks you are taking upon you in conducting and
participating in the assembly. Please rest assured that our attention
will remain focused on the events in Cuba to support the protection of
your safety and well-being.
Please inform us, if any one of you is arrested, repressed or otherwise
harassed by the authorities as a consequence of organizing or
participating in the assembly. We will do our best to publicise your
case in our country and abroad as well as write supportive letter to the
relevant authorities in your countries.
We hope your assembly will be successful and create a permanent platform
of co-operation, understanding and support for all non-violent,
peaceful and non-partisan organizations and groups in Cuba.
