DESAPARECIDO ANTUAN CLEMENTE HERNÁNDEZ
MIEMBRO DE LA ASAMBLEA PARA PROMOVER LA SOCIEDAD CIVIL EN CUBA
Miami, Florida, 16 de mayo de 2005 –
A través de una comunicación telefónica
a las 6 PM del día de hoy, hemos podido conocer por mediación de Martha
Beatriz Roque Cabello, que el opositor y miembro de la Asamblea, Antuan
Clemente Hernández, está desaparecido, después de que recibiera una
citación de la policía política (seguridad del estado) el pasado 12 de
mayo. El Centro de Información y de Apoyo de la APSC pudo también hablar
con Emilio Leyva, Presidente del Frente Línea Dura y miembro de la
Asamblea, a quién la policía política soltó hoy a las 2:18 PM, siendo
instruido de que tendría que presentarse a la estación de policía tan
pronto fuese citado. Agregó Emilio Leyva que la seguridad del estado
acosa a su esposa y a su hijo de 6 anos, a los que visitaron en el día
de hoy a las 6 AM. Cuando Martha Beatriz se disponía a completar su
informe, la línea telefónica fue abruptamente desconectada.

Miami, Florida, May
16, 2005 – Through a telephone call at 6 PM today, we were informed
by Martha Beatriz Roque Cabello, that member of the opposition movement
and activist of the Assembly, Antuan Clemente Hernández, has
disappeared, after receiving a citation from the political police (state
security) on May 12th. The Center’s representative also spoke
with Emilio Leyva, President of “Frente Línea Dura” and member of the
Assembly, who was released by the political police today at 2:18 PM,
after having been instructed that he would have to appear in the police
station as soon as he was summoned. Emilio Leyva added that state
security forces are intent on harassing his wife and six-year old son,
who they visited today at 6 AM. When Martha Beatriz proceeded to
complete her report on repression, the telephone line was abruptly
disconnected.
